Thomas Land during summer holidays with a 3yo what can I expect?

I am thinking about taking DS (who is 3.5 and approx 1m tall) to Thomas Land this Fri as we have got to travel North and Thomas Land is in a good place to make a half way stop and turn our travelling into a day out.

and would like to hear peoples experiences,

do you think he will able to go on the rides seeing as he is free to get in, is this because he won't be able to go on the rides?

Will it be ridiculously busy with mega queues for the rides, how long do you think you had to queue for each ride?
as I don't think he will be able to cope with too much queuing if all queues are huge

How long do you think you need to spend at the park to be able to see/do everything? as we wouldn't be able to stay the whole day.

Generally would you recommend it?

thomas land is great, should imagine it will be quite busy as it is summer hols, however, don't expect wonders, the actual thomas land part isn't that big, it is a small part of a bigger theme park. We went on a weekend and my nearly 3 yo coped ok. at 1m tall there are loads of rides he can go on.

We were there last week and it was fab. Food offerings are a bit iffy so try to take somw bits and pieces with you - everyone does so you shouldn't get any hassle.
Your son will be able to go on everything and the queues aren't too bad. Generally biggest for the troublesome trucks mini rollercoaster (which my 4 yo loves!) and for the rides on the trains themselves.
Drayton Manor is generally very good and you may also want to look at the smaller of the main rides. My ds 4, loves the big wheel and the twirling sombreros and the drunken barrels, too!
Have a great time!

It's great. We went on the first day of the hols and it was busy but we never had to queue for too long, and there's a nice zoo at Drayton manor to have a wander around if you get sick of the rides. It's a really great day out for families imo.
