Does anyone know of a smallish, independent holiday park in Normandy?

We're thinking of going to Normandy next year, and want to stay in a smallish, independently owned caravan/holiday park, possibly with a small pool and play park but not much else. We're not really interested in the large Key Camp type place (although may change our minds), but I've had a quick look and there doesn't seem to be anything like that over there. This of course means my googling skills are crap, not that they don't exist - does anyone know of one? Thanks Smile

We are going to a Siblu Park in a couple of weeks......Domaine De Litteau. We've chosen it because it's only recently been aquired by Siblu, and is reviewed as still retaining it's independant "feel", ie. quiet, not overly holiday camp style, though well maintained and equipped. Check out the website..................might be worth a try??

We stayed at Chateau De Les Eaux in south west Normandy. It was lovely and not at all commercial. It has a nice, albeit small outdoor pool and a lovely clean indoor pool complex with slides.

The site was pretty quiet with just a small bar and shop but it had a great kids club, which we saw 6 children in tops at once.

The site is owned by the Castels chain and has eurocamp/keycamp chalets & caravans on there. But, dont let that put you off, we stayed in our tourer caravan and it was lovely, one of the nicest sites I have been to. Ive been to the more commercial sites and its nothing like that at all.

Try ukcampsite review and go onto the overseas sites section, you should be able to get a good list of sites in the area you want, together with some good reviews.

been to Belle Dune, it was OK, the only disadvantage self-catering and quite a distance to sea if walking (best take the car) - but pool was OK for a 10 year old and park itself nicely laid out for walks

We have stayed at both Chateau lez Eaux and La Vallee (in Houlgate.) Both times we were with Eurocamp, but I'm sure you google them and book direct or take your own tent/caravan. Both were relatively small and I'd recommend them both.
