Easiest way to get to Duinerell

Hi,
I posted on here a little while ago, and got some really valueble information about Duinerell. We have decided to book (hoping to do it tonight) We are going with Selectcamp, as they seem to be the cheapest, and we need to keep the costs as low as poss, as we have another hol later on in the year.
Firstly, has anyone used this company and how have they found them? What is their accomidation like etc.
Secondly, we are tryiing to decide the best way to get there. Had thought about leaving the car behind and doing eurostar and then another train to Amsterdam and making our way from there.
I am now thinking though, for convenience we may take the car .Just trying to decide the best ferry route.
Looking at dover to calais. Does anyone know how long it would take to get to Wassenner from calais? We could also go Harwich to the hook of Holland. We would use Tesco deals for this as it's an expensive crossing.
Anyone driven from from hook of holland to wassener, and approx how long does it take?
we've been looking for a few weeks now , originally with Thompson Alfresco, and the prices have steadily risen in that time.
Also there is no availability at all booking direct with Duinerell for the dates we want, so we're keen to get a move on.
We would be going for a week in the Easter holidays next year.
Thanks for any replies.

We always go over night from Harwich to hook of Holland and it takes no more than 40 mins to get there. We get there for about 9.30am and go round the theme park and swimming before getting keys to mobilehome. We go with eurocamp and i think that you have to pay for the swimming now,it is still good value though.

Coming back we always book afternoon ferry from Hook and book a cabin for somewhere to relax.

Hope this helps.

Calais to Wassenaar is a 3 hour 20 minute drive. From Dunkerque will be around 30 minutes less.

yes i used selectcamp to go to duinrell about threeyears ago. the caravan was appaulling, mouly and disgusting - and my standards aren't that high, but this was beyond the fucking pale.

after much fighting i got back £80. they were completely shit throughout the whole process.

they are cheap as chips for a reason

THEY ARE SHIT

completely spoiled the holiday.

i hated duinrell anyway, shit all entertainment in the bar - to speak of, the whole thing wreaked of butlins, the lovely big pool and slide conmplex that makes it so appealing was only free at certain times, and then the queues were so enormous, it wasn't worth the bother as when you eventually got in, queue again for each slide - just terrible.

took a day trip to amsterdam and got stoned - that was the highlight.

we have driven to Amsterdam and we drove up to Duinerell on the way and were tempted... but carried on.

The drive from Calais is about four hours so totally do-able. I prefer the convenience of having the car while on holiday. Probably a cheaper option too if you have got a deal on the ferry or Eurotunnel.

Thanks kiwibella. Yes, four hours not bad really, and the convenience of the car is winning out.
