Hi,

We've just booked to go to Disneyland in Paris next April, will be out first time and we'll have two boys, aged 5 and 3, has anyone been and would you recommend it? It's really expensive but if its really fab we'll push the boat out and go for it!

Also if anyone could give me any ideas how much meals in general in the Disney village (thinking evening meals really) are then that would be great too as I can plan our spending money then!!

Thanks in advance! Hannah x

hi i took my 2 last summer you need to allow at least £20 per person per evening meal, kids meals are cheaper but not massivly so.. about £10 beer and alcohol at least £5-6 each.. not cheap by any stretch of the imagination...

what i did was raid the buffet breakfast every day and make up rolls for lunch this saved me at least £100 over the 5 days i was there...and ment i didnt mind to much the prices in the evening..

good place to eat is the disney mickey cafe at the end of the row of shops pre book to get good seats inside.. the characters walk around singing and dancing.. the kids loved it!!

youll have a fab time..

have a look at www.disboards.com for loads fo great tips. You'll need to scroll down a bit for the dlp bit. We've been about 7 times and twice we went to buffalo bills. It is very good, like a big indoor arena with a sandy floor in the middle and seats all around the outside. It is really good, quite spectacular when the horses and cattle come galloping out. However i;d say on your first trip you have more than enough to do without going there. Your children may be slightly young. It can be quite loud, gunshots etc

Go for it we took our boys who were 3 and 6 and it was the highlight of the trip. Food was good as well. Top tip dont buy a drink in the bar beforehand (v expensive) as once you take your seats the drinks are included in the price.

We went last spring when our boys were 4 and 2.5yrs. We splashed out and went for the Disneyland hotel, which was fab because the characters come to dinner there anyway, and being right on the gate meant we could come back for naps and a late breakfast. You don't say where you are staying, but if it is a Disney hotel, check out their prepay food packages, which were good value and give you a choice of restaurants to eat in. We one very expensive burger meal for lunch on the day we arrived and then just used the breakfast buffet at the hotel (breakfast continues until 11.30am), skipped lunch and had an early evening meal (6.30pm ish). The parks open at 8am for Disney guests so we went then and then returned to hotel at 10.15 am for breakfast when the park starts to get really busy. Hope this helps.

That's really helpful, thank you for your replies. We're staying in Cheyenne hotel and think we've got a pretty good deal considering its Easter hols (they're early up here in Leeds!) but that helps me plan in advance how best to spend our money!
