I have no idea if this is in the right section or if anyone on here will even be able to help, it's a bit random, but worth a shot.

Can anyone please help identify/age this horseshoe? We found it whilst gardening. House was built early 1920's, semi-rural Northumberland. General area does have significant Roman history and known first house built in the nearby area was 1700's. Local area (within 2 miles) does have churches built in around the 9th century.

Horseshoe is quite small, can't see any visible nail holes but it is quite eroded, so may be there underneath.

I am no expert, but I suspect this is a virtually impossible question. They are heavily rusted but still fully intact and quite thick. Corrosion speed varies depending on the conditions but my guess would be more than 10 years and less than 100.
