ive been looking at jobs that fit in with school hours and alot of them are admin jobs like working in schools or doctors receptionist, local council. I have noeadmin experience what so ever so are there any courses you could recommend that i could do from home? Ideally id love to work for the local council or housing associations as the hours and pay seem to be good plus theres opportunity for promotion.

I work for a council and they ask all employees to undertake the European Computer Driving Licence. Although I've attached this link, that's only through googling and I'm sure there are many other places that offer it.

you'll need basic pc knowledge of excel, word and outlook. you could try learn direct to find out where your local courses are.

I've spent years working in admin.

Once you've got your head round the basics of Word, Excel and Outlook, why not get an internship (basically working somewhere for free for a bit to get experience?)

With admin, I reckon experience is an equally valid route, you don't necessarily need a qualification. Also, when you learn programmes I find that it's when you actually use the program in real life that you really get to grips with it.

Having said that, if you are good with numbers you could do a basic bookkeeping course (don't bother if you're not interested though - I've avoided this route myself as money bores me stiff!)

Have a look at the requirements for the jobs you want, and see what you need to do to make yourself a good candidate for the job.

HTH. Good luck!
