Am i mad to even consider this yet ?
DS 6 DD1 3 and DD2 9mths!

I am not going to return to work after mat leave in Jan. I work in a secondary school as a mentor.

I finished my english / ed studies degree just before dd2 was born.

I have just done my gcse math resit so waiting for results.

Have got an a in Eng gcse and c in science.

What do i / when do i need to apply?

Live in Rossendale so where ?

For those who have done it is it too much too take on with 3 lo's?

Was thinking of applying for Sept when dd1 at school!

You need to look at tda website for info and advice and gttr for vacancies. So long as you get the maths you are ok for quals - is it for primary? there is alot of competition so you should get your application in as early as poss. I have someone on my course (secondary) with 5 under sevens so yes it can be done! Good luck

You need to apply to the PGCE course, most people would get their application form in be4 the xmas holidays. Its harder to get into primary than secondary because more people apply to do primary. You could go on to the UCAS web site to find out about PGCE courses in your area.It will give you imfo on what uni runs what course and what qualifications you need to get on.

Hi Lily - with regards to where I know that Edge Hill in Ormskirk (I am doing undegrad teacer training there)and Lancaster Uni both do PGCE courses. I am sure there are places in Manchester and Leeds too. PGCE is notoriously hard work but if you are dedicated and have a good supprt network then I am sure it is do-able. All the best!
