Law Conversion Courses and Lifelong Learning Entitlement

DS (yr 12) says he keeps getting mixed messages about Law Degrees Vs Law Conversion Courses following doing another degree and the benefits and limitations of both. I suspect his alternative degree would be Classics.

I understand there are a variety of routes to go down for conversion courses - including one or two years extra. I haven't read in detail but they seem to be provided by specialist providers, or like an apprenticeship by law firms, or as a Masters.

Does anyone know about funding them? Can you use the "4th year" of the Lifelong Learning Entitlement? I understand that this is brand new from January 2027 and the rules aren't widely known yet. I assume if not, and if not funded by a law firm, you have to find the money yourself?
