Why no headlines this year?

In previous years I’m sure there’s always been headlines- news articles about the expected exam results usually comparing them to previous years and how they’re going to be harder/ lower etc.
This year there appears to be zilch, some press at the weekend about universities and their offers but nothing at all about grade expectations, we just watched the News at 10 and not a word.
I don’t suppose it means anything but it’s definitely curious

I’ve definitely seen some this week about boys outperforming girls this year, and about the highest % of A and A* grades. Not sure where I saw them though so might not be credible .

I’ve seen loads as per what @MrsJPBP said

The FFT Datalab does good evidence-based analysis of these things. There are more 18-year-olds in the system this year so there will be more top grades (more of every grade, no doubt). But they expect the grade proportions to be very similar to 2025, based on the prior attainments of these 2 cohorts.

i thought they had to wait until 8 am on results day before they know/release the stats.
