Are low league table universities places worth it?

Dd is 18 years old and wants to go to Uni this September. She wants to live at home for various reasons and so would commute. We live in Gloucestershire so nearest is university of Gloucestershire or University West of England. She has offers from both to study business but I know that neither is high up on the league table. Obviously we don’t know how well she has done so far but she is not a straight A student. I keep seeing people say it’s not worth going unless the university is well regarded. Would an employer disregard a degree if it’s a university from either of these? She really liked both universities when we visited them.

My DS is doing Business at UWE, travelling from home. Just done first year. He wasn't going to go to uni so it was a last minute clearing decision.
He has had plenty of contact time, supportive tutors, local employers deliver workshops etc work is largely assignment rather than heavily weighted to exams. I
He is happy with his choice, I am not convinced he needed to go to uni but he didn't know what else to do and felt there was a lack of other opportunities (tried for apprenticeship but no joy).
There are several other home students on his course, he bumped into someone from both his school and college at the start up session.
Locally I think UWE has the better reputation and is a bigger organisation than Glos.
