No UCAS reference as a mature student

Hey guys, I’m currently in the process of applying for nursing. I already have a degree in psychology but I completed that degree years ago, and I’m also not working as I’m a mother of 2 (youngest is 4 months). I haven’t worked or studied for a few years and I need a reference for UCAS but have no idea who could be my reference. Any advice?

When was the last time you worked?

When I returned to work after a 6 year break, my previous employer provided me with a fabulous reference

Either an employer / HR office at your last place of work, or even a previous university contact - they are actually better suited to say you're a good candidate for the course.

You can ask your universities if they’ll accept you without a reference.

I applied for nursing years ago when I was in a similar position! I did get invited for interview, but decided not to continue the application.

Anyway, I phoned my director of studies from my first degree. Luckily he was still there! He gave me a reference although I graduated in 2008 and applied for nursing in maybe 2019 or something like that.

So, I'd try your old university
