Undergrad maths support

Ds is struggling with an ancillary module in maths (his degree is a science subject). He’s tried to get support at uni but still doesn’t understand it and the lessons are going at a pace so he’s started to panic. He’s thinking some short term tutoring would help on this particular topic (Fourier transforms/analysis) but google throws up so many agencies. He found what seemed like the ideal person with Keystone but they charge £90 an hour!

Some of his friends do undergrad maths and have probably done this but he’s too embarrassed to ask and would rather have ‘outside’ support now.

Anyone know of a good tutoring agency that has good advanced maths tutors?

Yes, Oxford Tutors. They are mostly aimed at school level and Oxbridge entry but they have current students / professors who can tutor at high levels

ask for William Hale he runs it and explain what is needed.

Good luck.

My daughter used mytutor online. Was a 3rd year undergrad at Cambridge who she clicked with. Was 3 years ago, cost £35 per hour. Made a world of difference.
