Third year disaster at Uni

DS has just finished his 3rd year at Uni. He’s been told that he will graduate with a 2:2 as he got a very low grade on a module as he misunderstood the task and it’s reduced everything. DS has had DSA for dyslexia and ADHD since the first year but earlier this year the uni changed his personal tutor due to redundancies and he’s had zero contact with his new tutor since. He was told he could resubmit the module assignment at first and now told he is to graduate with the lower grade.
Is there anything he can do to appeal this and resubmit for a chance to improve?
I don’t understand why students with additional needs are left to get on with it. Help is available we’re assured but he has to access it himself and chase things himself. His difficulties mean this just doesn’t happen and he’s left feeling he has wasted 3 years.

My husband got a 2.2. He has done so well. I genuinely would not worry.

We are unbelievably proud of him for achieving a degree when not that long ago we worried he’d be unable to pass his GCSES. It’s DS that’s disappointed not us and we will have a fantastic time at his graduation. No idea what he will do next but I’m sure he will be excited at moving onto the next adventure.

I have a 2:2 from a university that's normally in the bottom 5 in the national rankings, and earn well in excess of 100k.
Take a step back before you push the panic button.

There is so much support at university but it is an adult environment meaning that it is up to the individual to access these services.

It's frustrating for parents who supported and interacted with college tutors to help their child fo be removed from that access and updates.

Lecturers and personal tutors offer endless support but they can't make the student turn up or email back or do their work.

2:2 is an achievement.

Agreed.

He's an adult on an optional 3 year course. It's not the Universities fault he didn't access the support.
