Any recommendations?

DD's a sociable girl and seems to deep down want catered accom however as a state-schooler from a normal comp in Birmingham she's a bit wary about Pollock having heard is was dominated by posh people. She is very much a take every person as they come and would not generalise or hold prejudice against someone just because they were privately educated as I am sure the majority are very nice! It's just she may feel slightly isolated/ out of place if they're all connected through various sports and networks and things and to what extent that maybe slightly exaggerated stereotype is true. She will be studying Politics so based in the central campus I think and is not against self-catered at all so any recommendation on that side would be much appreciated too :)

Some are , some aren’t. Dd didn’t gel with the posh students on her floor but met some nice Internationals and moved room adjacent to them.

My DD worked as an RA and rated Salisbury Court and Warrender Road and Crescent for sociability. Friends have like Kincaid. My DD was a Pollock hater but her BF liked it. I think you can be unlucky in any residence. You can usually change after 1st term (or sometimes earlier if you switch flats within same accomodation). Like @LIZS my DD has made good friends with international students.

I had a dd in Pollock, friends made there aren't "posh" at all - some privately educated, some not but they're not the stereotype. If your dd is sociable she'll be fine.
