Film Production

DD is yr 12 and interested in film production. We've started looking at the different courses - she'd like a highly practical course, must be in the south (doesn't want to be far from home). Falmouth is too far and she's not keen on a London based uni. People keep mentioning AUB but are there other good ones?
Apart from screen skills accreditation what else should we be looking at? How do we know what is best regarded in the industry?

Met Film School (Brighton) BA (Hons) Film Business Production | MetFilm School | Previously Screen and Film School

Bath Spa Film, TV and Digital Production – BA (Hons) – Bath Spa University

Look at the alumni and what they've gone on to do, and whether the uni have links to the industry. One of the bath spa alumni who completed the production course has just gone on to win an Emmy, for example.

Friend's DC went to Royal Holloway, loved it and first job was with the BBC editing clips. Five years on still in TV and doing very nicely.

My dd did a very highly regarded film
production degree at Arts Uni Bournemouth. Loved it. Got into screenskills from there and now on her third film job in London 18 months after graduating. It is a competitive course and very practical.

Portsmouth or Bournemouth? Does Chichester offer it?
