Dehumidifier for university student room? Any ideas?

My DS's room has mould on the wall, which we have cleaned. I want to get him a good dehumidifier as he spends a lot of time in his room and I really don't want the mould to come back. The room is on the ground floor, which I think is why it's mouldy.

Has anyone got any recommendations? I am prepared to spend a decent amount of money on it as I am quite concerned about this issue.

There is a plug socket where I would want to put it. I have never had a dehumidifier and don't know anything about them.

Thanks in advance for any help

Thanks everyone.

He now has a Meaco running as that's what so many people recommended and he begged the uni to agree to him having this and they did agree, so it won't be picked up as a problem during inspections.

We are unconcerned about the electricity bill as it's included in the halls cost and so the uni will pay.

Fingers crossed that this helps.

I'm sure it will help.

If he keeps the window on the latch whenever the dehumidifier isn't running that will help too, and he could wipe the area that gets mouldy once every week or two with vinegar as a preventative measure.
