Hi , just looking for advice please , my dd is year 13 and has just decided that uni isn’t for her
Does anyone know of how she could apply for an apprenticeship depending on what she wants to do please ?

The link/thread above are only for degree apprenticeships - she may also want to consider a level 3 apprenticeship - far less competitive and she won't have missed the boat. Or she could just get a job.

I think there’s a website called ‘not going to uni’ which may be worth a look.
Regarding looking at apprenticeships it’s useful to understand the levels as titchy mentioned.
level 6 is degree level
level 5 is equivalent to 2nd year of uni
level 4 is equiv to 1st year Uni
level 3 is equiv to A levels.
Even if she’s completed A levels she’s able to apply to level 3’s and that may then progress to higher levels / a career.

What does she want to do?

Does the school/college offer an advice service and have contacts with local employers?

DGodD decided A'Levels weren't for her. Got herself a level 3 apprenticeship and did well. The company then asked her if she'd like to do a Degree Apprenticeship and she's doing really, really well. I'm pleased for her. She's gone from being unhappy at Sixth Form to thriving.
