Masters Degree Financing/Scholarships

Starting to explore this for my daughter. How common are scholarships for a Masters degree? She is British but undergraduate overseas so won't be eligible for UK postgrad loan. Even if she was that seems to only be enough to cover fees and would need to find the money for living expenses. How do most graduate students finance their studies? I know perhaps some teaching to undergrads but not going to be a lot. Are scholarships widespread or is this for the preserve of the relatively well-off? The main courses she is considering are at Cambridge and Oxford. I suspect she might just stay where she is where costs are a lot lower.

DS took PG loan. We paid the left over for the fees. DH and I also paid for his rent and living expenses.

I did my first Pgd while working full time and i paid my fees myself in installments over the two years. I did my masters while also working full time. It was based in the field I worked in so my employer gave me paid time off for classes which there weren't that many of and then I used our client base as my research base. Then I just used the UK pg loan to cover my fees. Most people I know who have done one have worked while studying.
