Future career on personal statement?

DS had a meeting with a person from a university at school to read his personal statement. They suggested he be more concise (his tutor had already given him a few ideas on that) so that he can put in some future aspirations, like what he sees himself doing as a career. The thing is that ds is not really sure what he wants to do as a career only that he wants to comp sci at university and keep his options open beyond that.
Have others put about their future aspirations in their PS? Any thoughts on whether he should he put something or nothing? Thanks!

He does not need to include anything about future career aspirations.

Yes nothing about careers, just why he enjoys computer science. The tutors who read his statement are academics who enjoy the subject for what it is.

As he's doing Computer Science, he could put something along the lines of his future career having not yet been invented thanks to the rapid pace of tech advances.

If he had ideas he could include them. As he doesn’t it’s fine to not mention it.

Haha that's funny :-D He had lots to write about and will have to take something out to put in aspirations so I think I'll tell him just to leave it. He's doing comp sci for the love of it rather than any specific job so he'd have to make something up and might not be convincing.
Thanks everyone.

I wouldn’t suggest a student take something relevant and factual out to replace with a potential career idea. Thurs statements always sound clunky.

He could have a think about how he sees a future using the learning in compsci that he does at university wouldn't have to be a named career, as such - just a sentence about how he might use his learning in his future.
