My son was at Leeds studying environmental and business studies .sadly didn’t get predicted grade at A level for economics which he was gutted about. He has absolutely smashed it with his career . Only graduated last year ,earning money which is eye watering for a 23year old on a graduate scheme and most importantly enjoying his job . Often late home because his job is sociable. He had his 6 month appraisal today where he had to give a presentation. CEO came over from the states and it’s fair to say he is bloody flying.
Leeds definitely gave him the confidence to be where he is today

The student experience is going to be very similar at both, so look at module content, placement opportunities to make the decision. If your student will be flying back overseas, which airport links are better? Leeds Bradford is smaller.

Really won’t make much difference. Getting through selection processes lands jobs. Not Leeds or Manchester! Getting a job that pays well requires applying for it, having the required skills to pass selection tests and interviews and then being successful in the job. Not everyone at any university is guaranteed success.

I see Leeds does not require Maths A level as opposed to Bristol and Manchester and Liverpool. this is must indicate that it's less maths heavy degree, isn't it?

Manchester is generally more highly regarded, it’s also a bit more traditional than Leeds.

Both are big cities with lots going on. Leeds has a reputation for being a massive party university. My DN has been shocked at the amount of drug use and she’s a bit of a wild child..

It would appear that the course at Leeds aims to teach the maths required for the topics covered in the degree and therefore doesn't assume prior attainment past a decent grade at GCSE (although obviously, students do have to be capable of taking in, assimilating and using the maths required):

Optional modules:Students who have only completed GCSE Maths or equivalent will be required to study the following 10 credit module (students who have completed A-Level Maths or equivalent do not require this):LUBS1275 Mathematics and Statistics for Economics and Business1Awebprod3.leeds.ac.uk/catalogue/dynprogrammes.asp?Y=202324&P=BS-ECON
