I'm thinking about doing an OU course of some kind (i've been toying with the idea of a PGCE since graduating), and i'd like to know from those of you who have or are doing a course how you managed time wise-was it ok?
I've got an 18month old dd.
Also hopefully in the not too distant future we will try for another dc-how would that work with the course? Would I be better waiting a while?

Sorry i'm thinking out loud!

Would just like to know others experiences!

Have just done OU but my children were at school. It's still hard. How are you in the evenings? Do you collapse? Because if you don't have time during the day that's when all your resources are called upon. You need a supportive husband or partner who will help with cooking and washing up etc, and to be really well organised, and have an organised space where you can look at dvds, listen to cds and spread your stuff out a bit. But don't let me put you off -- I've got mine now and thinking of doing another one, it's worth it in the end.

I think maybe I should wait a year until dd starts at a playgroup or something as i'd have no time in the day and limited time in the evenings.........
stuffit-can i ask what course you did?
theboob-wow-that is a lot to fit in!! I'm impressed!
