Budget for London rentals for second years+ ?

DC is at UCL, currently in a hall of residence in Bloomsbury (which is £250 per week including food and bills). He's now thinking about his budget for second year accommodation. If your DC is in second year or above in central London, where did they end up, and how much rent do they pay?

Most won’t live in central London. Way too expensive. Camden, Finchley, Tufnell park are more affordable. He’s already paying a lot so about the same next year plus bills I would think.

Less desirable areas are cheaper.

He's 10 mins walk from Kings Cross. I think he got a good deal though

Hello, can i ask if it is in the student hall or the flat? good price for this location

#thefutureistoday He is in a two man flat. I have been on tenterhooks all year to see what the catch was, but this far all has gone well. He has an E suite and a six foot bed, and they have a decent sitting room. I am just braced lest the landlord asks for a huge rent increase this year.

We had a nasty scene when he found it as he had dashed out to view during a 48hr exam, which made me rant a bit.
