Anyone with DC studying or applying for PPE?

Where are they, and how are they finding it?

Seems really popular as per economics, long waits for offers at the top institutions. DD has a couple of offers but patiently waiting for her favourites.

DD is a finalist at Oxford. I suggest your DD looks at how the subjects are taught. Warwick integrated the 3 across each module, York almost treated them as 3 stand alone subjects.
Find out is she needs to keep studying all 3 - DD has changed the proportions of hers so that she is still studying some E but will receive a degree in PPE (PP).

Thanks, yes, probably will want to major in economics. She’s waiting to hear from Warwick, they seem to only have offered contextual and overseas thus far.

She would probably have to keep at least 2 going throughout. Has she considered taking straight econ?

Sorry, just spotted that she's already applied. Which A levels is she taking? DD reduced the econ element when she got fed up with thd maths.

She thought economics on its own seemed a bit dry in comparison (she attended a few inspiring PPE presentations). Plus she doesn’t take further maths (capable but didn’t want to drop one of her others to accommodate it). Does maths, physics, history, economics.

Maths and history are an ideal combination. I know Oxford is a little different, but DD had to submit written work for each stream & statistics each week in her first year, then a weekly essay for each module thereafter, so 2 essays per week. The ability to switch between subjects is key. It's very easy to find things in each stream which interest you to motivate you though.
