How much does it matter that such a course is 'accredited by the BCS' Thanks

It means the courses are accredited to lead to the professional qualification of Chartered Engineer. @Orangesandlemons77

Therefore you expect the best courses will be accredited.

Sorry you've not had much traction. Partly answering to bump the thread. My understanding is that for CS degrees and career paths accreditation is not important and many (most?) of the better universities have tended away partly as they found it restricted the course structures.

The same is not true in other engineering fields where accreditation is important.

Thanks that is helpful. Flowers

I second that’s it s not relevant. A good degree with a good portfolio of work/ work experience more important.
Check out if they they have good contacts and internships.

I'm not sure it's that relevant or important for Software engineering or Computer engineering anymore?

I asked the course lead and they told me that they had considered accreditation but that it may not 'add value' so I suppose that ties in with what you are saying here.
