Computer Science not coding

My DS, 17, is doing maths, physics and computer science A levels. What degree could he do that doesn't major on coding which he doesn't enjoy. His maths is his weakest subject. Any views on the ITMB courses? Info tech with Management and Business? Also Cybersecurity is not focused on coding. Any other courses we could look at?

Has he considered a Computer Networks Degree?

And it's also worth delving into the details of the Computer Science courses, as they can lean towards a certain area e.g. I think it was Lancaster, where they seemed keen on Networking and I think York for hardware. But also take a look at optional modules, where you can pick modules that target your strengths and interests and help reduce those that you don't like.

What about the engineering side? Computer Engineering or Computer Systems Engineering.

Hi, OP -

I am replying late on the theory that your 17 yr old DS is likely in Y12. It is great that he is thinking ahead.

Given he is not maths oriented, Info Tech w Management and Business or another Joint degree with Business sounds good. Cybersecurity as I understand it (and my PhD is in a related field) is quite maths heavy,

If your DS is enjoying Physics he may also, as @Ellmau said, enjoy the CE side of things.
