I was just wondering if there were any wise ones out there who would know where would be good choices for studying a degree in some form of Media, so digital Marketing, Marketing and Media type courses.

We do live in East London so wondering if there were any good ones in London.

Many thanks in advance

UAL - College of Communication, Westminster, Greenwich, St Mary’s, Twickenham to name a few. Bournemouth or Oxford Brookes are worth a look. You would need to research employability. Most courses are at lower Tartuffe universities. These should have good vocational courses but their stats will tell you what percentage get decent grad jobs.

I did Film and Media Studies at Stirling University and loved it (many years ago). Some of the people who I went there with have gone on to have amazingly good careers. Impressive alumni. Thorough academic and quite tough course. But also massive fun - the campus Uni arrangement led to deep, long lasting friendships and many, many happy memories.

Sorry, it's quite a long way from London!!

Well yes! It’s also film.

There are other courses around London at Sussex, Kent, Kingston and Essex. Probably others! It really comes down to whether DD wants a full university experience by leaving home of whether she intended to commute. Commuting Cutz due options of course. I think employability of grads is key too. These subjects often don’t have great employability in a grad role.

??? Commuting cuts options …

Thank you for the good advice, some very valid points raised too.

I would have thought City University was the obvious choice. Or has UAL taken over. Its Masters degree was always the ultimate place to go for those wanting to enter journalism after a more generalist first degree.

Masters yes. And the course you mention yes. Before that, at undergrad level, lots of options.
