UCAS application - different campuses at same university

Is it worth applying for 2 courses at the same university that are on different campuses or is this a waste of a choice? I'm thinking specifically Streatham at Exeter and Penrhyn(?) campus in Cornwall. Also DC thinking of applying for slightly different courses at each although still same core subject? I think I've read a few times that applicants have been offered an alternative course at Penrhyn if they don't quite meet the requirements for the Exeter campus. Anyone know anything about this?

I assume you are talking about Biosciences type courses or geography?

If they're two different UCAS codes, you apply separately. Don't know about different campuses, but I know that at my place, if an applicant doesn't quite meet our offer for a very popular course (generally it's our Combined Honours programme) but we still think they'll do well, and we'd like to retain them as a candidate, we'll offer them a Single Honours alternative - unless they've completely ploughed their A Levels.

But from what I know of Exeter, courses on their Cornwall campus is not so competitive to get into.

You could apply for 5 different Geography courses at Exeter if you so choose. BA, BSc, with GIS, year aborad, work placement and at the Exeter or Penryn campus. All courses have different UCAS codes.

A student at my DC school has applied for 3 related courses at the same university.
