Agh my heart hurts Sad
I'm so happy and excited for him but so sad too, that chapter of our lives is over.
I managed drop off quite upbeat and no tears, fine at home with younger dc to keep me occupied but now I'm in bed I can't stop crying.

Any reaction is normal. You did well at drop off. Your worst feelings will pass...and quickly if they settle in okay. Flowers If you haven't already, consider opening a family whatsapp group and communicating in a low key way regularly.

Hi OP. Come over to the empty nest thread if you like. It's for people who feel really emotional at the separation. No teasing or judgement.
