Nursing students - advice please

I am in the lucky position of having offers from my two favoured universities to study mental health nursing but am struggling which to accept.
One has uni day on Mon, placements Tue - Thur and Friday free for study.
The other does blocks of uni then placements for several weeks each.
I am slightly edging towards the first but the second is potentially a better location. Would love some advice from anyone doing either on how it works.
Thanks

Not a student anymore, but I did blocks like the second option.
If you go for the first option, are you guaranteed you wouldn't be travelling ages for the placement?
At least if the second option and it was further away, you'd have the option to stay overnight maybe? I had placement all over about a hundred mile radius, and I didn't drive.
Remember public transport time don't often fit in with healthcare shifts.

I much prefer option 2 and really feel it is better for the student experience. When you are there "full time", you integrate much more effectively and have the broadest opportunity for experience, for example you don't miss the Thursday MDT or the Friday depot clinic. You don't have to miss out of patient follow ups or turn down extra opportunities that might be offered to you because they fall on a uni day.

Sure someone will come along with an alternative view shortly, but that has certainly been my experience whilst supporting students through both types of placement structure

Hi, the arrangement of the second option sounds better, with the blocks of study and blocks of placement separately. This is how I studied (general nursing) 'back in the day'. I think it makes more sense to have your study hat on for a solid amount of time and your shop floor practical hat on for another set time. Also, as Restless says you don't miss out on things that might happen on certain days of the week.
Hope that helps and good luck OP.
