UCAS Q? Can my DD change her firm offer now?

Or would she have to wait for her results and work through the clearing process?

She had an offer from Nottingham Uni and turned it down in favour of another offer - could she approach Nottingham again to ask if they can make the offer again?

Yes, she can ask Nottingham, and if they say yes she can self-release from the offer she no longer wants. If the course is in clearing she has a good chance of getting it re-offered.

She might be able to go through adjustment. I’m not 100% sure about how it works as it came in last year.
Also my ds had no offers for medicine at the deadline but was on the reserve lists of several unis. He then received an offer before results day, which didn’t go though ucas. So on the day he had to call /email ucas to go through it their end.
So I would say it is possible.

If she is 100% sure she doesn't want the other offer, she can ask them to release her - but she can't pick Nottingham or anywhere as her firm at this stage.

She would have to wait for Clearing to officially apply for Nottingham. She could contact Nottingham now and ask if they would accept her again, but it can't be made ucas official so won't really exist as an offer. They also might not know at this stage if they'll have spaces in Clearing.

If she wants to hold onto the other offer for now, she could ask to be released into Clearing later once she has seen if Nottingham has spaces. Or if she meets and exceeds her offer she would be eligible for Adjustment, but again that depends if they have spaces.

She needs to ask Nottingham if they will let her change her mind about rejecting them and her firm if they will release her and if they both say yes, let UCAS know. ,But she needs to get a move on - no changes are allowed after the 23rd.
