I'm looking to start a masters degree and wondering which uni to choose. Does it matter? Does a degree from a 'better' university give you better prospects?

E.g. an online masters from the University of Derby vs a taught course from the University of Birmingham (same qualification)

Will this matter on my CV or does the fact that I've got a MA speak for itself?

If it's a 'professional' type Masters with accreditation from the relevant professional body, it doesn't matter. If it isn't - it does.

Are you already working in education and this will be something that runs alongside your job or will you do it full time so to speak?

Did mine in Education at Nottingham University. Don't know if it will make a difference, but interviewed twice for Cambridge Assessments. Couldn't take it any further as youngest daughter taking A levels this year. If it costs the same, why not go for the best you can get?

I'm a secondary school teacher so it would be a part time endeavour. I was debating whether to do it with the uni where I got my PGCE just because it's familiar but there are better options. Just wanted to find out whether it actually matters because if it doesn't I'll pick the easiest choice!
