Anyone doing a part time MA? Am I nuts to think about it?

I'm 47, work part time overseas as an ESL teacher. I admit I am a bit bored and in a teaching rut, but I like my job (I know that's a bit of a contradiction)

My original degree was in Modern Languages graduated in 1992, and I did CELTA in 2012.

Would I be nuts to apply to do an MA in Applied Linguistics (I love grammar and the theory of language)?

I am thinking of this one:
birmingham uni

or this one

leicester uni

I meet the entrance criteria and have the money (and my employer might give me some towards it)

I hesitate because it is a lot of money (but I do have it), would it make me more employable? I live and teach in Asia at the moment, but will be moving back to the UK in 2018. Worried about getting a job as I've been out of the UK for so long. It means I'd be doing an international move in the middle of the MA, and it might be sensible to wait, but I am itching to do something

I'm a full time teacher and starting a part time MA in September. I would go for it if it's what you want to do. It sounds like you're in a good place to start it.
