Just a general question really.

Well DD3 is lookng at Kingston.Bolton .greenwhich and UWE Frenchay campus. I think she is researching some others as wellbut cant remeber which ones. Exeter is a good university but one of the requirements to do computr science there is to have a Maths A level none of the other universities want this well none DD3 has looked at. She has dyspraxia and another mild learning difficulty so has to go to a uni that suits her needs, I was very impressed with the disability support person at Frnchay.

have a look at the guardian guide
www.guardian.co.uk/education/table/2012/may/22/university-guide-computer-sciences-it

Obviously league tables are not the be all and end all but depending on what A level grades you are hoping for, it gives ideas on where to look!

One of my DC's friends has just graduated from Aston in computer science, and really liked it. Aston is quite a small uni, and it suited them to not be on a big campus because of their disability,

They did their placement year at IBM and were offered a job for after graduation, they have just started on a really good salary.

Imperial in London is very well respected.

worth being sure exactly what kind of course is wanted - some are very much about the "innards" of systems (which is what I would think of as Computer Science), others have more of "application to business" type courses.

Warwick, Southampton, Imperial, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, York, Bristol, Cardiff ...
