Main source of information on Apprenticeships is NAS - National Apprenticeship Service. Information for Apprentice/Parents/Employers.
Their website is www.apprenticeships.org.uk
Interestingly I am doing some work on Apprenticeships for my employer and we have launched a survey (on-line & anonymous) to get views on creating a free mobile APP on Apprenticeships. If you would like to take part let me know.

Good Luck. mommaslearning

Most apprenticeships are for school leavers (at 16) - they are not a replacement for uni!

What do you want to know about apprenticeships??

The key thing is they have to want to do the job - there are so many young people out there who just want to 'get a trade' and unsurprisingly in a really competitive market they don't get the jobs.

There are apprenticeships for 19 to 24 year olds. So they can be a replacement for uni.

There are lots of apprenticeships for 19-24 year olds. My daughter is looking at one by a company called The Bridge 21c. They specialise in business and guarantee paid employment.
