Does any have or is currently undertaking an MA in counselling? I am interested in doing it part time as I work full time.

I am interested in your experiences of the course either under or post grad. Is there anything I need to know?

I have an MA in Psychotherapy and Counseling. I did it part time one day a week, most courses seem to offer this so you can continue you other job to pay for it. Its expensive.... the course fee, but also you need to undergo therapy yourself, and find and attend placements on a volunteer basis. So this has childcare implications. You also need either no relationship or a VERY supportive one, as in my case I was either in therapy or placement or supervision every night of the week and writing assignment at week end.
My advice in choosing a course is to find one with less academic emphasis and more experiential input. I love being a counselor, and it changes your life for the better.

I know this is an old message but hoping someone will have more information.

Can you tell me which university it is that offers this MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling and if anyone knows of a university offering similar (with ability to do a conversion certificate) and by distance learning?

Thanks
