Am trying to convince my work to pay for me to do a City and Guilds qualification that will be beneficial for them-but also for me if I go for another job Blush so want to get my facts right first!
If they are vocational does that mean tey are on the job?Or would I be college based?
When they say 6 months- two years do they mean you can do them as quick as you can manage?
Do companies accept them as a qood qualification (I mean as good as, for example, a cache nvq?)
Thanks!!

Depends what it is really. C & G is often part time, so can be done while working, and the number of teaching hours varies. Vocational means that they are for a specific role ie. floristry or teaching adults, and classes may be college based (some courses require dedicated facilities) or taught at a community venue. The length of the course may reflect how many hours a week you are required to attend to meet the guided learning hours, so the same course may be taught over 6 months or 2 years but the total hours will be the same and you would take the same exam and/or assessment, sometimes with a portfolio.

Hello would like advice on the new qcf qualifications that are coming in, i have been working 3 days as a teaching assistant and would like to become qualified in the position but have recently discovered that the n.v.q s' and cache courses are being phased out,
