Hi

I've been looking, researching high chairs and am soooo confused!
Could anybody give me some recommendations on high chairs please?

Thank you
;)

We were given the simplest plastic one from IKEA - www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S79823976/. I have tried many others at restaurants and other people's houses and they've all been a bit crap in comparison.
DS is now 8 months old and he's been in his high chair since he was 6 months, very happily. Plus it's really easy to clean. And cheap of course!

We were given a Tripp trapp. It's great but it's massive. Worth bearing in mind if you've got ltd space (and it's ££). The ikea one is also brilliant and £14 with tray. Would really recommend that and a booster seat for when LO is 2+

The Antilop is fabulous. Mega easy to clean, can be at the table or with a tray and cheap as chips!

Tripp trapp lasts until adult age

I've used different types and my favourite is Ikea's Antilop.
It's cheap at £16, you can get a tray for £4 and a booster cushion if you need it.
You can hose it down if it gets REALLY messy.
The legs come off so it goes in the boot of a car easily too.

I was a bit of a high chair snob with my first and had a lovely padded thing that turned out to be a nightmare to get clean and was very bulky, even when folded. By the time I had twins I was less bothered and went for practicality!

Ikea Antilop

Probably the most recommended is the ikea one. But I found its footprint is big and those spindly legs...well, they tripped me up whenever I tried to get past the thing. It doesn't fold either, its cheap but is a bit too basic for us.

I got one from Argos after trying the idea one. Can't remember its name, i'll try and find a link but its great. It goes up and down easily, reclines (for that après lunch doze) and folds nicely.

Here it is, half price at the moment!

Tripp Trapp. I don't find it massive at all. I think it has a smaller footprint than the antilop. We had both for a while until we got a booster for DS2, not a day went by when DH didn't trip over the legs of the antilop.
Antilop is still good in many ways but the Tripp Trapp wins for me.

I have both ends of the spectrum..

An ikea antilop

And a brother max scoop

Both are fab, for different reasons. Obviously totally different price points! The brothermax goes with our posh kitchen Wink and is amazing! The antilop is transportable and goes in the garden with us in the summer.
