Am I going to regret swapping my Chicco Polly for an IKEA Antilop

I loved my Chicco Polly, used it for DS and got it out again for DD = but it's so big and fiddly to clean and my kitchen is so small and I don't have time to faff around dismantling it to get it properly washed anymore.

Mum has an Antilop for when we visit and we used one on holiday and it seems great. DD looks comfy and most importantly, it's a breeze to wipe over. I've got more space now the behemoth Polly isn't hogging all the room and it even matches with the white and silver table and chairs....

So why am I worrying that I'm going to miss the reclining seat and the PITA cushions and the adjustable height? The only feature I used on the Polly that I won't have anymore is the removable inner tray to quickly get all the mess out of the way.

The Polly is going to my sister for her PFB so it wouldn't be impossible to swap back at a later date if I really wanted to.

Tell me I won't regret it.

We swapped expensive highchair for the antilop one with dd and never regretted it. Who'd have known.

You won't regret it.

Antilops are fab. Comfy for kids, easy to clean, not cumbersome. Why anyone wants a reclining highchair is beyond me. Aren't highchairs for eating in? Who goes to sleep at the table???

You'll love it, I promise Grin

No you really won't. I waved goodbye to my Chicco on freecycle with a cheery wave. Bloody thing is designed to get bits of food stuck in every crease and crevasse.

I loved mine. Easy to clean, dismantle and very cheap Grin. I flogged my large, heavy, hard to clean M&P for £30 and was absolutely delighted to see the back of it. Food got stuck in every conceivable gap and you had to get a screwdriver out to remove and wash the harness. The only thing with the Antilop is that when they get older then can tip it as it isn't heavy. DC2 was porky substantial even at 15 mos so it had to go. Then I got 2nd hand East Coast chairs which will do for years and are also not bulky.

WE swapped from an expensive horror to the Ikea one - it was brilliant. Stylish, easy to clean and cheap.

Every time a friend has a PFB I command them to save their money and get the Antilop. I have had no complaints so far.

Thanks guys

DSis is ready to bite my hand off for the hand-me-down Polly. She'll learn Grin
