Grown Up Daughter Not Accepting I am Older

All my life my daughter has never made any allowances for any time I’ve been incapacitated.
She lives 3 hrs from me and wants to meet up at a theme park 2 hrs from me to meet her children.
I generally don’t drive much further than 10 miles from home to work etc now, no confidence issues, I just get very tired. I am disabled and fairly deaf, as well as other issues.
When I explained I can not afford said park and it’s too long a day for me, she’s come back with “I don’t want to meet my grandchildren”.
I have suggested she come to me, two drivers after all, but she says it’s too far for the children. So they could stay over locally, I live in a lovely town.
So where do we go from here? I’m at a loss. 🤷‍♀️

Some really nasty remarks here . I fully sympathise with you o.p. I find hidden disabilities are very often misunderstood at best, and disbelieved at worst . Nor is the effect of the
cumulation of various issues taken into account.

Driving safely is imperative, and travel by train can be expensive. I couldn't imagine anything worse than a theme park . As an aside, are you eligible for for any transport concessions
Take care of yourself.

So you are unable to travel to her and she is unable to travel to travel to you. She has suggested meeting half-way, which you've rejected. So what's your alternative compromise?

Can't believe how rude some of the responses are.

People saying you're not making the effort are out of line given the health limitations you've described. I also don't see how you can meet in the middle if you can only drive short distances, so that's not really helpful.

I think you'll have to keep explaining to your daughter your situation and offering to have her stay, and just keep reiterating how much you'd love to have a visit. In the meantime keep contact up with phone/video call.

I have a young child and I almost always bring her to my parents not the other way round, because like you they struggle with longer journeys. I think a lot of people with young kids do that, and I'm surprised so many people here seem to think that's unreasonable
