Would you send flowers to your doctor

First post from me, good morning to all Gransnetters!
My daughter and I both have the same GP at our practice and we both have multiple health problems. Our preferred GP is a wonderful woman, really listens to you and shows real empathy. Also, we can ring the surgery and she'll call back , whatever the problem. So yesterday she did me yet another favour and I mentioned to my daughter that I'd really like to send Dr L some flowers to say thank you. I was scoffed at and told " maybe a Thank You card but definitely not flowers "
Is it the done thing or not?
I'd really like your opinions on this!

I would do it too. I would also let the practice manager and partners know how brilliant she is.

I sent my midwife flowers and handmade cupcakes to the hospital ward after a long stay. Both were very well received and more importantly I made sure the relevant people were made aware of the fantastic level of care I'd received in both cases

I think with the GP's under the pressure they are it would be lovely. As a nurse we as a team are really pleased when someone goes to the trouble of saying thank you with a card or gift. It's not necessary but it is very much appreciated.

Saw this on active (not a gran!) but married to a doctor and daughter of a doctor, I think it would be a lovely thing to do - even just a note is nice.

My DD is a GP and she would love this!

Oh, thank you all for your supportive messages!
It's lovely to get feedback from someone who is in that area of work.
I'll go ahead and do it 😊
