I found this list quite useful.

The list is more detailed towards the bottom of the page.

You can also find the list if you search for 'Deborah Ruf Levels of Giftedness' on Google.

Hm, not sure what to think. By those descriptions DC don't even belong on the G&T register. Especially because they did nothing remarkable at all at preschool age. Maybe my school is even more rubbish than I thought, lol.

But surely Peanut some kids are late 'bloomers' so it could be that they just lept ahead later?

I found the Ruf stuff fascinating. She has a book called Losing our Children or Losing our Minds or something that's excellent and goes into much more detail on the levels.

I suppose they're not that useful in reality though beyond showing the huge variation within 'gifted'.

That's the thinking I like EEF, they're just late bloomers .
I suspect you're right that the whole levels thing is more useful to academics/educators than almost anyone else.
Except the stereotypical "middle class" parent who is supposed to think the sun shines out their DC backsides. They might need a reality check. But no such delusions in this household.
