I wanted to thank all you lovely people for giving me advise on how to help my ds. I've enrolled him in a sports club, we now have a new pet hampster which ds is doing a lovely job looking after, he's very caring and will get out of bed early to make sure he's ok. I have been using the unwritten rules of friendship book with him since it was delivered last monday and he gets it. On friday he was awarded a superstar certificate for an improvement in his attitude towards his work and for being a nice person. His teacher has commented on how much he has changed and how much he is making an effort to get along with people. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your advice. You have helped my ds more than anyone else and I am forever in your debt. He's even asked his headteacher if he can raise money for the autistic society to help the children. I want to cry.

Thankyou so very much.

hey ave, I'm not one of the people who helped, just saw this in passing, but sounds as if a big 'well done' is deserved to you and your ds (who sounds lovely).
