St Paul’s 11plus

Please could I ask some advice and no judgement please.

I would like my DD to sit 11 plus at St Paul's, London.

Please could I ask if anyone has been through this and their experience of how best to prepare and what to expect?
Can anyone recommend tutors please? How frequently are they required and for how long before?
What extracurricular activities are good and what level is expected please?
Any general tips please?
Are girls centred around the school or do they come from afar?

Thank you very much indeed for your time.

You don't need extracurricular activities. Nobody will even know about these before interview stage.

You don't need years of tutoring if your daughter is genuinely very bright.

There are SW London Secondary threads every year in the Secondary Education board which are very helpful and will have lots of people with recent experience of the exams and school.

You need to live within one hour of the school by public transport.

Girls live all over but quite a lot are fairly near the school. More come from central, W and SW London than anywhere else from what I can tell.

No worries!

If you have any specific questions, I'm happy to help but my experience is a few years old so the thread I mentioned might be more useful.

Hi. I just came across your post.
Last year my son sat the 11+ and also another separate entrance exam to a Catholic grammar.

He had 6 months tutoring 1-2 hours a week and a few intensive classes during the summer holidays.
He passed both exams with flying colours 😀
So years of tutoring isn’t required so long as your child wants to learn and gives it 100%.
Hope this helps x

Atom learning online is really good. It's expensive but you get what you pay for. You get 5 days free to get an idea of what's it's good for
