Free readers starting Reception

Hi all,

Would love to hear experiences of this. I know much of it will be play-based anyway, but if your LOs went in already reading, how did the school support them? TIA.

My ds was/is a good reader, but more of good decoder.
We worked more on comprehension from YR1 onwards, and he reads pretty much anything, but far from reading Shakespeare!
