Not so much the percentage of females or males that are gifted but the consequences......

Certainly there are more males with exceptionally low IQs than girls. I don't know if there are more males with extremely high IQs than women or not.

I think that women tendency to multitask means that women are rarely obcessive as a minority of men with aspie traits. The average woman does not have the time to stare at an apple for months on end thinking about gravity.

Perhaps you need to define "giftness" before you decide whether "gifteness" is a gender problem. Typical state primary school will have more girls on the gifted and talented list than girls. (Most people realise that the gifted and talented list of a bog standard state schoo is a joke and consider true giftedness to be the top 0.1%). Yet great authors, scientists, composers are men. Is this because of a history of lack of opportunity for women or are there more men with exceptionally high IQ.
