Artistic potential

My DD seems to be very good at drawing and keen on colouring and designing. Her friend is writing a book and she is illustrating it and is always doodling etc..

As I have absolutely no artistic ability whatsoever, I am a little in awe of what she can do with pencils and paper (and bits of blutack, and her evening meal, and other bits and pieces which she seems to feel the need to arrange in a creative visual way!)

Does anyone have any ideas on art clubs or ways of supporting her potential talent for art? There seem to be loads of activities for musicians and sports people, but what is there for budding artists?

I have posted this in the extra-curricular section too.

There should be a lot of stuff going on this half term for the Big Draw - all sorts of museums and galleries do events for this.

Round us, we are lucky enough to have an art gallery that runs monthly events for kids - they get taken around the gallery and then work on a related piece of art. And I went to a place the other day (Compton Verney in Warwickshire) that had great kids resources and events. Roughly where a bouts are you - just in case you are local to our one?

In London, tender buttons and we do go regularly to V&A and do the half term activities on offer at various galleries, as well as just visiting various places.

I guess that is the best thing to be doing, but it surprises me that there don't seem to be regular weekly lessons available anywhere that I can find - both DDs have regular music lesson and sports clubs, but there is nothing similar for art.
