leaking nipples during sex - not breastfeeding and my child is 3!!

I have 2 kids, breastfed them both for a grand total of 2 days and the youngest one is now 3.

Since I first got pregnant with DD1 my nipples have leaked during sex or when squeezed. It's only a tiny bit of colostrum but I hate it!

My husband is really 'funny' about breastmilk and I think that's fair enough during sex, I don't like it either. As a result he won't play with or kiss my breasts which is something I enjoy.

I mentioned it to my nurse at GP's (was very embarassed about it) and she said 'oh don't worry, at least if they leak he knows he's turning you and you're enjoying it' !! ??!!

I realise that for some people it wouldn't be a big deal or even if you had recently had a baby or stopped breastfeeding but it's been years now!!

Has anyone any experience or any ideas?

it's just breastmilk! really, i can't see why he would be that repulsed. babies drink it all the time

and to be fairly blunt, if he's willing to lick your fanjo (i realise he may not be but i'm assuming he does) then a bit of breastmilk is really nothing is it????

i doubt there is anything you can do to stop it happening...

i knew someone would come on and say this.

Do you think ALL men like sucking breastmilk? I don't like the thought of it so I completely understand why it turns him off.

Secretions from vagina are sexual, breastmilk is for babies - VERY different!

my point is, there is not really anyhting repulsive about it is there?
bodily fluids is bodily fluids surely?

unless your breasts were gushing milk i really think he would hardly notice it anyway

Stupid practice nurse; you'd be better off seeing the GP instead.

Excess prolactin levels can cause this to arise. Blood tests should be done to measure your prolactin level. It can be treated with tablets.

I had this between babies- I know a drug I was on made it worse, but I used to find it quite cool. Your body though, and if you don't like it, it can be stopped if you want.

I used to tell DP that it was just my body saying that i love him- it is the hormones released during sex.

thanks, suppose i'm gonna have to brave it and go and ask my male GP....eek!

Bodily secretions are not all the same, I'm happy to have semen in my mouth but not urine or snot!
