We are traveling to Thaland in almost a fortnight for 2 weeks to a beach area.

I have called a travel clinic who advised that it was ok to get the jabs done 10 days before travel so I hd planned to get them done tomorrow. My own doctor has advised that I have all the jab I need due to a previous holiday and it is just DD (6) who needs her jabs but that she should have had these 3 weeks ago. Oh no. Im not sure why this conflicts with the trvel clinic advice.

Does anyone know how much in advance we needed to get these vaccinations and have i left it too late/does DD have higher risk of becoming ill? Also neither the doct or the clinic mentioned malaria for either of us which I thought was a bit odd on reflection.

Any advice woud be much appreciated

I would book an appointment with the nurse and get all the jabs that you can get - at least try for maleria stuff to be sorted which is tablet based and you need to start taking them two weeks before you go

Its still worth getting the vaccinations up until the last minute if you canget them done. Whether you need malaria tablets depends on where exactly you are going. If its an established resort you may not need them. Check on thi website

the advice is you get the jabs right up until last min - some protection is better than none but most should be done a couple of weeks before travel at the very least. you really should have had them sooner but 2 weeks isnt dire. get them done asap
