Had this last year - last summer in fact. Now its back. Driving me wild. They are red and on fire and itchy. Same deodrant, same amount of shaving all year. Last year had trimovate cream that helped a bit. Going to Drs on Wed. ANy tips for before then?

No more deodorant and sudocrem? Should soothe them a bit. Much sympathy coming your way

I had similar a few years back, fortunately earlier in the year - so not hot weather. No bubble bath (or any bath additives, even baby bath); no soap or shower gel - wash with E45 emollient wash; no deodorant (I know, that's a hard one at the mo); no shaving (or when you have to, use a new razor very gently with lots of emollient wash to lube); to dry after bath/shower, dab V gently with towel. Don't wear tight-under-arms T-shirt/top/dress. Agree with sudocrem, or you could use E45 cream.

Good luck with Dr. I ended up being prescribed cream of some sort and antihistamines, I think.

I feel for you - it's ghastly.

I had this and the docs prescribed fucidin....worked a treat

Oh, and, I'm sure your Dr will suggest similar routine during treatment - but I suggest carrying on routine for a while, even after it's cleared up. And, if you don't use one already, also suggest you get a dermatological deodorant for sensitive skin, once you can start using it again.

I had something similar about a year ago and found that just by switching my deodorant to another brand worked and cleared it up straight away.

its possible you could have thrush (as this can be very itchy)in your armpits as it like damp warm areas. Try some canestan ( clotrimazole cream.)

are you diabetic?
