I wouldn't have thought it was essential but would be helpful. My dh saw one 4 years ago when he was first diagnosed with diabetes and I went too (as I am chief cook ) but I wasn't there for myself IYSWIM.

If you do go to see one, keep a food diary for a while beforehand.

What is your diet like at the moment, any reason to think the tiredness might be diet-related?

well my DPs sis found out she could eat wheat, gluten,, etc and she was always tired so ill thought ill give a go to see if im allergic to anything or lacking anything as we both eat healthy (not too healthy IYKWIM!) and we go out once a month for a treat

well, your diet as such sounds like it is probably OK. Not sure if a dietitican is the right person to see if you are suspecting allergies...maybe an allergy specialist? but someone else may be able to advise you there. Our dietician just advised us on what sort of diet dh should be following (basically a typical healthy eating plan) and dieting for weight loss.

so if i mention it to the Docs, it will tell me who i should see?, or do i ask the docs that i want to see a Dietican?

I don't know...I think the GP would be my first port of call though. You could try posting here under the `Allergies' topic to see if you get more responses (just your thread title and the fact it's under health might not be catching the eye of other people who may be able to advise you)

BTW the fact you have been losing weight may well be a factor...I've been trying to lose my spare tyre recently and have been feeling really weary.

ok thanks ill start again under the Allergies topic x

I would say It would have to do with your diet. I constantly felt lethargic and having 2 very active toddlers I thought it was normal. After taking herbalife products I have now become a destributor. The products help you lose weight get all the proper nutrients and I have so much energy now. If you are interested my email is [email protected] and my website is:-
